I use my Digitech GNX4 almost exclusively for recording, with Pro Tracks 2 software. Same reason, won't bother anyone if I record late at night or have long sessions! The demos on my page here are all done at home, but the loops came from LOGIC software.
My new vocal album was tracked entirely at home, except for drums which were done at my favourite studio here, Soundbaker. I also took all the files to Soundbaker for final mixes.
The guitars on my demos are Godin SD electrics. One has the standard Seymour Duncan factory pickup in the bridge, the other has a Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro II in the bridge.
Hi Marcus, thanks for listening! I am distributing through FIRESTARTER, a Perth-based distribution company who have been doing well for a number of years now. Their service includes uploading to iTunes, etc.
The album I am releasing is actually a vocal album, the demos on my page are from my other project which commences recording later this year. For that one, I will probably concentrate on online selling, similar to your plan.
I only teach Two days a week as a favour to my brother who is the assistant principal at the school, my main source of income is from gigs. But I did teach guitar as my job for about eight years and I enjoyed it. I had my own business though, which helped as you don't lose any of the lesson fee to a school. Cool songs here man! What did you use for your tones?
