Hello everyone.I'm glad to join this group because I have a passion for teaching and playing guitar especially bluegrass flatpicking.I also teach the Dobro or resophonic guitar and would like more students in this field.
What makes the Dobro such a great instrument is its expressive nature and versatility. It works really well between lines of a song so is great for working with singer/songwriters who want something special. It is easy to overdo it though as I've found out to my cost so I try and…

We have now realised that with the number of new members joining and the obvious enthusiasm for the G4GUITAR NETWORK we have decided to change things a little.
Previously we were looking at the G4GUITAR NETWORK being a meeting point for teachers who were actually G4 GUITAR teachers. But now we want to open it up to anyone who teaches guitar, drums, bass, voice etc. We want it to be a place for teachers to share and work together regardless of their circumstances. We want it to be an open platfo…

I thinks its my role to keep everyone looking at the big picture of G4GUITAR and why Networking together will benefit all of us.
Every member has something to give and something to gain to/from the Network. The power of the Network is in its value to it members. That value comes from what each of us give. Lets look at an example that many of us can relate to. The music industry is full of musicians, producers, songwriters etc. who network. G3 (Satriani, Vai & Petrucci) is a great example of…

So what is our business strategy?
As a G4 Network Member (G4NM) its important you know where we are heading. What our game plan is so to speak. Google dominates 95% of the internet. In the last 10 years Google has gone from being just another small player in a very big game (the net) to virtually owning the game. So it stands to reason they are making the rules.
I have been aware this for sometime and the G4 strategy is about riding the wave of Google and playing by their rules. Many of you ma…

If you have just joined let me tell you what I know in brief (which isn't that much).
MAIN PAGE
The main page is what we all can see. I can change this (and will at times). Think of it like a staff notice board where everything going on will appear.
Forum is where we will put topics to be discussed and anyone of us can contribute. We want to use this to educate but also to discuss issues.
Latest Activity is just what has happened. Good place to start when you first arrive…
